RZA's Directorial Debut

The new trailer debuting RZA's directorial debut, The Man with the Iron Fists has been released and stars Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu. Produced by Quentin Tarantino, the film is set in 19th century China and seems to bring together kung-fu epics and westerns with a hip hop influence.

A martial arts movie fan (especially the ones with fierce female ninjas of course),  I'm curious to see what new moves they have in store for us and how deep RZA's love affair with kung-fu really is. The movement and fight sequences of kung-fu are are so fascinating to watch and I always marvel at the discipline and precision required to execute successfully.

With a star-studded soundtrack, featuring new cuts from Kanye West, Wu-Clan Clan, The Black Eyes, and Wiz Khalif, this film is definitely on my list of ones to check out this summer.  Perhaps it will inspire me to get back into those wushu classes I signed up for years ago...
